Omelettes anyone?

First off I'd like to wish a very, happy Mother's Day to all mothers in  the world, without them, well we wouldn't be here, haha. Today I woke up at around 9:30 ish and that would have been fine any other weekend day, except today was Mother's day, and I was expected to help with the annual breakfast in bed. Not only was my mom up and out of bed already, she wasn't even in her pajamas, she was dressed to go. Breakfast in bed, no check. My sister barraded me with questions the second I walked into the living room, "Seany where your present, Seany we gotta cook breakfast remember, Seany. Seany." And so on, you get the idea. In short I was late to Mother's Day, which is apparently possible. Then I remembered, I hadnt wrapped my present yet. Great. So, in my best James Bond fashion, I managed to steal some newspaper and run into my room and cram it into a bag I had found. Then comes the realization the bag has frogs on it. My mom hates frogs. Buuuut, I marched onward, what could I do. My mom liked the present, a summery tank top thingy, which Im sure theres a term for but eh, Im a guy. She even went and put it on. I must sound like a little kid right now but honestly that meant alot to me. For someone who does so much for me, her enjoyment of a simple inexpensive gift (believe me when I say inexpensive) means the world to me.

Then I relaized they had waitedd on me for breakfast, which I was glad they had since I love cooking breakfast, its kind of become my duty as of late. Anyways, I gathered my fellow cooks, which consisted of a 7 year old who can hardly focus on one thing, and a 2 year old. Gota make due with what you get, I gave out orders and followed to the best of their abilities. Sophia (the 7 year old) was actually a great help. Even though she may have dropped some shells into the eggs, but hey extra nutrients. In short the breakfast was a hit, not just because I made it, but well, because I made it. Although Sophia takes credit because, according to her count, she had to do 5 whole things. Needless to say the best part was recieving my mom's approval on the cooking. If the whole surgeon thing doesn't work out, I can stake out a carrer in Omelette making, haha.

It's only been a few short hours into this holiday, and I've tried to do the most for my mom possible. Even though it will never be enough to repay all that my mom has done for me. She is an extraordinary women and I love her to death.
